A message from Ruaraidh Sutherland, Organist & Director of Music Ministry:
Welcome to St John’s of Lattingtown and to our music ministry. St John’s offers our music in service to the glory of God, and this hugely important ministry is at the heart of our parish. We celebrate our distinctive Anglican musical traditions, through which many people find the deepest expression of their faith and you are invited to join us either in the organ loft or at one of our many offerings.
St John’s Parish Choir
The St. John's Parish Choir is open to all from high school age and older and draws voluntary singers from our parish and the surrounding area. The choir sings a wide range of music from the treasury of Anglican repertoire regularly at the Sunday services of Eucharist and Morning Prayer, and concerts and other special events are offered during the year. The choir primarily meets on Sundays at 9.15 am, but also on other occasions as needed. Choral Scholarships (see below) are awarded to talented vocal students attending local area high schools and colleges.
