Endowment and Special Gifts

Make St. John's Episcopal Church Part of your Legacy

The Endowment Fund of St. John’s Episcopal Church exists “to ensure the financial resources necessary to enable the parish to develop and support its ministry and mission as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ through worship, education, and outreach, including facility restoration and major capital improvements.”

Growing the Endowment Fund

In addition to your regular giving to St. John’s Episcopal Church, you may make regular or periodic gifts to the Endowment Fund. Gifts of any size may be designated for the Endowment Fund. Checks should be made payable to St. John’s Episcopal Church, with a notation that they are intended for the Endowment Fund; readily marketable securities may also be given to the Endowment Fund; gifts may also be made online specifically designated for the Endowment. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Gifts in the following categories are particularly encouraged:

Bequests

St. John’s Episcopal Church may be designated as a beneficiary in Wills,Life Insurance Policies, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and other life-income gifts. No such designation is too small, whether made as an outright bequest of a specific amount or as a percentage of your Estate.

Special Gifts

When celebrating a special birthday or anniversary, others may wish to make gifts in your honor to the Endowment Fund. An acknowledgement will be sent to the individual(s) being honored (please provide the name and address of the person to be notified).

Memorials

When a loved one dies, it may be appropriate to ask family and friends to make gifts to the Endowment Fund in lieu of sending flowers. An acknowledgement will be sent to the family of the individual(s) being remembered (please provide the name and address of the person to be notified).
